Introducing Doing into Being:
Living in a loud and busy world, it can be challenging to find peace and inner calm. That's why this meditation course was designed specifically for beginners like you. It offers an approachable and practical way to pursue wellness on a personal and spiritual level.
Throughout the course, you will learn how to quiet your mind and find deeper meaning in the midst of agitation. You will become more comfortable with stillness and have the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals during in-person classes.
Meditation is Practice.
the more you do it, the easier it gets
In this course, we will navigate through three 4-week segments, each focusing on different skills necessary for personal and spiritual growth.
Unlike traditional forms of meditation instruction, we will not simply ask you to notice your thoughts and let them drift away. Instead, we will teach you the basics of meditation and provide you with tools to quiet your mind, allowing you to follow your own meditative path.
What to Expect:
During the course, you can expect an approachable and accessible process. The class size is kept small, with a maximum of 12 students, ensuring a more intimate learning environment. In-person meetings will take place at my studio in Albany, NY and last 120 minutes.
__________
The course is divided into three 4-week segments:
1) Doing.
In the first segment, called "Doing," we will focus on techniques to quiet the busy mind and explore four different forms of meditation: Focused, Mindful, Mantra, and Spiritual.
Throughout the segment, we will gradually increase the duration of our practice from 5 minutes to 40 minutes or longer. This progression will allow you to deepen your meditation experience by quieting the agitation that prevents us from successfully practicing.
2) Stopping.
The second segment, "Stopping," will delve deeper into focused and mindfulness forms of meditation. We will also explore Mary O'Malley's Six Levels of Higher Consciousness and spend more time in the pause, the space between thoughts.
3) Expanding.
In the final segment, "Expanding," we will deepen our meditative practice and explore philosophies from various spiritual traditions. We will focus on mantra and spiritual forms of meditation, allowing you to expand your awareness of your deepest Self.
__________
Throughout the course, we will sit, contemplate, and expand our knowing of what is true for each individual. While you don't need a guru outside of yourself, having a guide can be helpful on this journey.
Whether you are new to meditation or looking to refresh your practice, Doing into Being offers an accessible way to tap into personal and spiritual growth. I am excited to meditate with you and guide you on this transformative journey.
Namaste,
Tara
